Commissions

What is your artistic approach to commissions?

Commissions are my interpretation of the ideas that you present to me. When you request original work based on your interest in my style and subject matter, I ask that you respect my freedom as an artist. Some artists are willing to execute a literal interpretation of a collector's idea. I'm the type of artist that requires freedom of expression for my best work. Micromanaging to achieve a specific image in your mind doesn't lend to an authentic creation. If you want something unique and original, trust that I will use my time-honed skills to bring that to life for you.

What types of commission requests do you accept?

In order to produce my best work, I accept commissions that meet a set of basic parameters. These ensure that myself, as the artist, and you, as the collector, are on the same page! You will be asked to agree to and sign a commission contract before I begin work on your custom piece.

When you request a commission, you are agreeing to these parameters:

It must be:

• 30 in. (76.2 cm) x 40 in. (101.6 cm) minimum in size for mixed media paintings.
• 18 in. (45.72 cm) x 24 in. (60.96 cm) minimum in size for oil paintings.
• 16 in. (40.64 cm) x 20 in. (50.8 cm) minimum in size for drawings/sketches.
• 16 in. (40.64 cm) x 20 in. (50.8 cm) minimum in size for digital art prints.

- You'll show me 3 examples of my work that inspire the ideas behind your commission.

- Expect to receive 3 photo updates throughout the process. The magic is in the layers!

- You'll pay half of the total commission price up front, and the other half once the piece is complete. Your artwork will ship after your full payment is received.

What price point do your commissions typically start at?

My minimum commission piece size requirements are priced as follows:

• 30 in. (76.2 cm) x 40 in. (101.6 cm) minimum mixed media painting: $6,000.00
• 18 in. (45.72 cm) x 24 in. (60.96 cm) minimum oil painting: $3,024.00
• 16 in. (40.64 cm) x 20 in. (50.8 cm) minimum drawing/sketch: $960.00
• 16 in. (40.64 cm) x 20 in. (50.8 cm) minimum digital art print: $960.00
